Object Pascal, we need to talk…

Object Pascal, this is gonna be hard. You see, I have known you for a very long time, about 10 years to be precise, and all these years you have been my number one, my only number one. (Allright, there were Basic and Visual Basic before you came along, but that was more like an experiment if you know what I mean.) We had so much fun together.
But you know, priorities change and I think we just drifted apart. I’m so sorry to say that, but I have to come clear with you. About a year ago I began to flirt with C and her younger sister C++. Both of them extraordinary, so complex and so adorable at the same time. At a party some colleagues of mine introduced me to Java. I’m sorry guys, in my personal opinion she is just trying too hard to be like C++. I’m sure there are other guys who find Java attractive, I’m not of them.
A few weeks back I noticed Ruby. She never cought my eye before and I’m definitely glad I met her. We talked a lot and I got to know her much better. She is great, really great, intelligent, innocent, independant and I could go on and talk about her all day long. I asked her out we’re dating now for two weeks. It’s actually a funny story how we met each other. I got a big crush on her and I still do, but I dunno if it’s real love yet. It’s to early to tell. I mean, C++ will always be in my life and I don’t think I could shake her off that easily.
Object Pascal, it’s not your fault, it’s mine. We can still be friends, hang out and if we are lonely enough one thing could lead to another…
